The Institut universitaire de gériatrie de Montréal of the Centre intégré universitaire de santé et de services sociaux du Centre-Sud-de-l’Île-de-Montréal developed an accredited online training program on behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia (http://capsulesscpd.ca). This program was funded by the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux du Québec.

Anne Bourbonnais, Chairholder, is one of the collaborators of this project for the section that addresses vocal behaviours. Marie-Hélène Lalonde, at that time a student of the Chair and currently a research coordinator, also contributed to this section on vocal behaviours.

This section presents the definition and the consequences of vocal behaviours, the assessment and intervention planning principles. It also introduces the six steps of the intervention approach based on the meanings of vocal behaviours of older people living with a neurocognitive disorder developed by the Chairholder.
