Elisabeth Laughrea, a student from the Chair, received the Excellence in Nursing-New Generation Award 2016 granted by the Department of Nursing of the Centre intégré universitaire de santé et des services sociaux du Centre-Ouest-de-l’île-de-Montréal (CIUSSS), Jewish General Hospital installation.

This prestigious distinction granted by a peer committee of the CIUSSS, acknowledges the competence and quality of Ms. Laughrea in her professional practice, as well as her influence in her hospital serving as a role model for her peers.

Ms. Laughrea is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in the Faculty of Nursing of Université de Montréal. Her project is focused on adapting a multimodal nursing approach for families during episodes of delirium in their older relative hospitalized in acute-care units.
