On November 12, 2015, Doctor Anne Bourbonnais, Chairholder of the Desjardins Research Chair in Nursing Care for Older People and their Families, was invited as a guest speaker at one of the Café Alzheimer organized by the Alzheimer’s Society of Montréal. This initiative aims to reach those interested to better understand and share knowledge on the disease in the different aspects of life.
Dr. Bourbonnais presentation addressed the mission of the Chair and on the research conducted particularly the project on the development of an intervention approach based on the meanings of screams in older people living with Alzheimer’s disease.
Dr. Bourbonnais words captivated the interest of the participants and promoted a fruitful exchange with her audience, which gathered older people, family caregivers and researchers on aging.
