On May 9, 2022, Coroner Géhane Kamel made public her report on the deaths that occurred in long-term care homes during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. She presented recommendations addressed to the Québec Government, the ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux, the healthcare institutions (CISSS and CIUSSS) and the Collège des médecins du Québec.
